Today she decided to change
To let loose of her winter snow
To free herself from the weight of
The white blanket oppressing her
She burst forth in a brown fury
A fiery rage of churning waters
Pouring forth from her hillsides
Stripping the slopes naked
Exposing the truth of the land
Clear light replaces her heavy load
She breaths softly and cries out
In songs of birds and frogs and rushing rivers
Exulting in the buoyancy of land
She dances in her newfound freedom.
