Gin,

Welcome back and Happy Thanksgiving.

AL

Thanks Al. And a Happy Thanksgiving to you! Be safe and warm and well.

Today’s post will be old hat for you – we’ve already talked about it, but I finally found some words to attempt to describe it. Odd to try to capture such a strange sound in written words.

The same thing is happening on the big Reservoir as well as Road Canyon. When we stopped there to listen, we saw the shine and movement of a trout, maybe 15 inches, on the narrow section of open water between the bank and the covering blanket of ice. Not enough ice yet for the ice fishermen, but the water beneath is remarkably alive and well.
