That was such a heartfelt read! Thanks for sharing this with me, Marvin. I remember being at my mom and Greg’s house looking over the fence to see your house with some of the animals. No wonder you liked ‘The Art of Racing in the Rain’… Sorry for your loss, but happy for all your memories.

Marvin, I’m crying as I type…My love for dogs is very deep and I, too, lost a precious one back in 2004. She taught me so much just as Molly taught you. I used to always tell people (and still do) that she and I grew up together (I was 21 when she came into my life at 8 weeks old and she died at 15) She taught me about life, loyalty and unconditional love. I wonder how people survive not learning real life lessons from dogs. Dogs know how to live and they know how to love. My hope is that Molly and Nikki are playing together in forever young bodies.

I am very sorry for yor loss .My dog is my best friend but is getting older .I lost my wife some months ago now it is just me and dog .I already fear the day shes gone . Then there will just be me .Your story is a good epitaph for any friend man or beast
